Travel Tips:

Keep your dog on a leash with direct supervision.

Be aware of your dog’s temperament as well as other dogs around.

Bring dog food from home for your dog’s comfort.

Bring dog's security blanket, toys, etc. to make the Island home.

Pick up after your dog. Pet waste bags are available at beach accesses.

Wash the sand off your dog after visiting the beach so it doesn’t go in the home.

Water, water, water! Remember it’s hot during the summer and dogs need to stay hydrated.

Don't forget your dog's feet... if the pavement is too hot for your bare feet, then it is too hot for your dog's feet.
