Bald Head Island offers fantastic opportunities for bird watching during all seasons. 244 different species have been documented on BHI as of October 2014. On this birding tour, you will learn the basics of bird identification in a welcoming environment for experts and novices alike. Locations are determined by tides, weather, and recent sightings. As we teach you various birdwatching techniques we will be looking for BHI’s favorite songbird the Painted Bunting (in summer months) and Bald Eagles (in winter months). Binoculars and birding field guides will be provided for the trip. Meet at the Conservancy. Personal golf cart transportation is required. Learn more and register at www.bhic.org/fa
