Beach Plan Insurance Reform Bill

 

In August NC Governor Perdue signed  the Beach Plan Insurance Reform Bill into law. The law requires the NC Beach Plan to limit the coverage it offers on residential properties to $750,000. If the value of your property exceeds the new maximum coverage limits, the property owner must arrange to purchase the excess coverage in the private insurance market before the Beach Plan can issue a new policy. Property owners may also purchase coverage entirely outside of the NC Beach Plan from private insurers.

Samaritans Feet Charity!

 

 

GingerDunn-feetcharity.pngOn Saturday, November 14, Ginger Dunn volunteered for the Samaritan’s Feet event at St Stephens Church in N. Myrtle Beach. 250 children had their feet washed and received new shoes.  Samaritan’s Feet is a non-profit ministry dedicated to spreading hope, faith, and good will to those in need. Emmanuel “Manny” Ohonme,  founder, has pledged to put 10,000,000 shoes on 10,000,000 pairs of feet in 10 years. Manny made a surprise visit to the event. Muttley Sauder – Canine Champ!

 

mutley.jpgMuttley finished in 1st place in the Canine Costume Contest at the Conservancy on October 31.  There were several judges and they all scored Muttley the same - the maximum number of points.  Muttley won a $100.00 - gift certificate to Turtle Central.
