Deep Point Receives Engineering Excellence Awarded

Deep Point Marina’s engineering design team,  WK Dickson & Co. Inc., was recently awarded the Engineering Excellence Award by American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC/NC).  Busy summertime days can yield as many as 3500 vehicles through the eco-friendly facility. WK Dickinson was initially hired to develop the site and infrastructure plans for constructing Deep Point in a way that maintained the natural aesthetics of the Lower Cape Fear, as well as balance and protect the sensitive maritime ecosystem.  

 

The Engineering Excellence Award is a significant industry award based upon overall engineering excellence, including innovative application of existing techniques and theory, future value, complexities of the endeavor, as well as over all client satisfaction.
