BHI Gets Ready for Fall

As Labor Day approaches and last minute vacationers take advantage of yet another beautiful Bald Head Island summer, we would like to take a moment to remind you of all that fall has to offer on the Island.

 

Labor Day will kick off our Island fall with the Labor Day Picnic at the Harbourside Pavilion and Annual Labor Day Party at the Shoals Club on September 5th. Enjoy the Beach Music Extravaganza with great food, music, dancing, and good friends.  Please visit our calendar for more details.

 

Fall heads in the right direction with BHI’s Food & Wine weekend, September 25 – 27. From 4pm until 8pm on Friday, September 25, you are welcome to join local wineries at the Maritime Market for wine tasting. On Saturday, beginning at 10am, the Harbourside Pavilion will be the place to go! An open-air market, cuisine, wine, beer, art, music, and fine products will provide hours of enjoyment for all. From noon until 4pm BHI will hold the Amazing Wine & Food race, and the Childress Wine Dinner will begin at 6pm at the River Pilot Café. This great weekend will be wrapped up on Sunday from noon until 2pm at the Sparkling Wine Brunch held at the Shoal’s Club. Please visit our calendar for more details.

 

September 30 will find the Island full of fishermen once again for the 3rd annual BHI Red, Whiting, and Blue Surf Fishing Contest!  Red Drum, Whiting, and Bluefish will be our sport and there are great prizes for the largest catches. Please visit our calendar for details.
