“Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus  AND……. it snowed on Bald Head Island!” 

That’s right!  It snowed on Bald Head this past week as evidenced in the pictures.   It’s been a week of wonderment on the Island with the snow and the discovery of a graveyard (probably Civil War era) while excavating for the renovations to the golf course.   So if you thought the Island was quiet all the time, SURPRISE!  We made the news! We’re still a haven of peace and quiet most of the time, which is the reason my family loves it.

Hindsight is an interesting thing.  Don’t let hindsight leave you frustrated that you didn’t take advantage of great deals, low interest rates, and motivated sellers, to purchase the property of your dreams. Summer is coming and everyone will be heading down to enjoy the island.  Now is the time to make the move. Deals are being made on a weekly basis.  Don’t be left out and…….

BHI Winter Wonderland

Meteorologists called for light snow.... but Bald Head Island got a Winter Wonderland! We had a great time playing in the snow and enjoying such a rare Island event this past weekend. Golf Course Historic Discovery

Amidst the much anticipated renovations to Bald Head Island’s beautiful golf course comes a striking and quite possibly historical find. Construction crews unearthed skeletal remains that, according to preliminary investigation, actually date back to the 19^th century! Foul play is not suspected, and state archaeologists are digging to see how extensive these finding are. We hope to have some news over the next two weeks that determines the origins of this fascinating find. There is much speculation that this site may have been a burial ground, due to the manner in which the skeletal remains were laid to rest. Deep Point had their Holiday Spirit on this past Valentine’s Day. A tree was erected in the office and decorated in true red and pink fashion!
