The Bald
Head Island Conservancy goes to great lengths to protect our Island and
the abundant wild life that we are so privileged to enjoy. I have
included a picture of a green sea turtle and a loggerhead turtle right
before their release to the sea. These came from a nest that did not
completely hatch out and the conservancy took care to make sure they made
it with the rest of their brothers and sisters. It is quite a sight to
see and hope all of you have an opportunity to witness a nest boil over.
Through early September, 99 nest were recorded and 42 have hatched. There
were 95 loggerhead and 4 green turtle nests. Quite a lot for our little
stretch of paradise.
As to real estate, things are still moving along nicely. There are some
terrific values here and I encourage you to go to our web site and, in
particular, take a look at the recently reduced properties.
Bald Head Island, there is just no place I would rather be.
Look
for my yellow golf cart “Sales Office” around the Island and come see me.
