So,
time really does fly when you are having fun. I was so involved in
telling you all about the alligator situation that Memorial Day weekend
just came and went in a flash. The Island was full and busy with great
activities everywhere. From special events at both the Shoals Club and
the Bald Head Island Club, to a marathon of bands at the pavilion in the
Harbour… Just what it was supposed to be.
Then,
yet another memorable big-time, fun filled weekend slipped by. The All in
White Gala at the BHI Club and the 20th Annual Bald Head
Island Fishing Rodeo. I spent some quality time with one of my grandsons,
Charlie, at the fishing tournament. It is really great fun to watch the
boats come in and weigh their catches. My friend in the tournament had an
off weekend after winning a tournament at Ocean Isle Beach last week. I
guess that is why it is called fishing rather than catching. Just
good fun on the Island, as usual.
So,
now here we are today and I just realized how busy I have been throughout
the past several weeks. It is all really coming together. I have 27
Mourning Warbler, 11 Brown Pelican and 115 Stede Bonnet all under
contract. 27 Mourning Warbler is the first to close and the others are in
Short Sale, which just turns into a waiting game. A really good new
listing is in the works and I will let you all know about it soon.
Bald
Head Island, there is just no place I would rather be.
Look

WWP Extends Our Condolences
to the Family of Susan Miller
A dear friend of the Island and many BHI
residents, Susan Miller, has passed away this last Saturday. Susan, who
gave service in the transportation department of BHI for nearly 30 years
and also to the BHI Conservancy was diagnosed with lung cancer almost a
year ago. Susan knew many of the BHI residents as not only a staff
member, but also as a house and pet sitter. Susan will be remembered as a
friendly, funny, and trustworthy woman who loved her trips out with the
girls and always held a special place in her heart for Bald Head Island.
For all that knew and cared for Susan Miller, her family welcomes you to
pay your respects to her memory this Thursday, 2PM at the Peacock Newman
funeral home in Southport.
Fun at the Fishing Rodeo
Another fun BHI Fishing Rodeo has come and
gone! We really hope that you will join in the festivities in next year’s
21st Annual Fishing Rodeo….
