Bio: Beyond the exciting real estate opportunities it offers, Bald Head Island allows Kirby to indulge many of his other passions—including archaeology, Indian studies, history and photography. Kirby is president and a founding member of the North Carolina Archaeological Society, past president of Friends of North Carolina Archaeology, Inc., and a member of the Home Builder's Association and various civic organizations. A graduate of East Carolina University, he was previously employed with E. I. duPont de Nemours, Inc., in Wilmington, Delaware, as well as Carolina Power & Light Company and Prudential Real Estate. Kirby grew up in Rocky Mount, N.C., and has also lived in Media, Penn., and Stratford, Conn.
